Steven Leith took up writing over 40 years ago and progressed from short story form to the novel. Over the last two decades he has written 5 novels and a novella. His fiction ranges from high fantasy and science fiction to contemporary detective genre.
I spent my early life working in theatre, both on and back stage. More recently I have worked in the digital area of Internet development, which allowed me to work for myself and thus have more time to write.
I began with poetry and scripts, but then discovered short stories and from that I found that the stories I tell tend toward long. In short, I migrated to novels.
I have written 5 novels and 1 novella in four different genres. I find that I have too many stories to stick to one genre. The Copper Fox is an historical fiction set in 14th century Italy. Tina Tin and The Silver Slavers is science fantasy with a robot as the protagonist. The Dowry Of Doom, The Dead Man’s Tale, and The Affair Of The Delinquent Student, are part of the Stargazer Chronicles fantasy series. The House Dick, a detective murder mystery, rounds out the genre spread.
